CLIMATE RADIO, CAMEROON

Collective initiatives for rural resilience

PROTEGE QV (which means Promotion of Technologies that Guarantee Environment and a better Quality of Life) is a Cameroonian NGO that aims to promote individual and collective initiatives to induce rural development, to protect environment and to improve the wellbeing of the community.

The project seeks to use radio programmes to sensitise communities in Cameroon to climate change. The main objective is to create a resource kit that can be used by 15 community radio stations to inform rural communities on climate change and actions that can be taken at individual and community levels to prevent it.
