 Artists Project Earth is launching an online appeal in aid of those suffering from famine in East Africa.

 Thousands of people are dying and millions more are facing starvation. Food shortages are reaching crisis levels in southern Somalia and the refugee camps in Kenya and Ethiopia.

 To date, APE has given emergency funding to the following organisations who are working in the Horn of Africa: Mercy Corps; Merlin; Human Relief Foundation, Qaaf Aid and Action Against Hunger - but this is just a drop in the ocean. With your help we can help to raise much more...

 Without doubt the spectre of climate change is exacerbating the situation, undermining the chances for long-term recovery and resilience. Climate change is a global phenomenon, but sadly it is those least responsible who are most at risk from the effects.
