WESTSIDE NEIGHBOURHOOD

Action and Development in Bristol

The 'Westside' Neighbourhood (Bristol, Bath and South Wales) was formed during the first Camp for Climate Action at Drax in 2006. The first gathering outside the annual camps took place in 2009 and it was decided to take the Westside project further.

There will be two or three big actions during the next ten months and a proposal for a regional camp or urban convergence. These ideas for action will work along the existing Bristol and Cardiff Rising Tide Groups, as well as the Bath Activist Network. It is hoped to get local People and Planet Groups Involved, as well as other single-issue environmental groups such as Stop Bristol Airport Expansion.
