KYOTO2
Kyoto2 outreach at Poznan UNFCCC meeting, December 2008

Kyoto2 – How to Manage the Global Greenhouse is a set of proposals for a second Climate Protocol under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. It is written by journalist and campaigner on environment and health issues, Oliver Tickell. Kyoto2 proposes some radical and profound changes to the existing climate protocol which will enable it to build on the progress already made. These include creating a unified global system for regulating greenhouse gas emissions, the allocation of greenhouse gas production quotas and caps and the allocation of funds raised from emissions quotas.
The project will support Kyoto2 outreach at the UNFCCC meeting in December 2008 and crucially bring about wider awareness of the Kyoto2 proposals among key negotiators, ministers and NGOs prior to the UNFCCC meeting in Copenhagen in December 2009.
“Kyoto2 is bang on the nail. Exactly the kind of fresh, radical thinking that is now so urgently required.” Jonathan Porritt “The most intelligent treatment of the politics and economics of climate change I have ever read. Brilliant, clear and unanswerable.” George Monbio
